Our Work and Ministry - that we would be faithful each day to the Spirit’s leading – we desire to walk in HIS steps in HIS plan with courage and boldness.
Our Hearts – that we would grow deeper in our relationships with Christ and trust Him and take joy in Him.
Our Bodies - for health and rest
Our Family – that we would take every advantage to enjoy each other and support each other as we respond to all the changes and learn from each other’s different perspectives
Our Boys - that they continue to thrive at school and build good friendships as well as grow in their relationships with Jesus.
Our Relationships - that we would be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading and courageous and take risks and make the effort needed as we get to know people
Our Learning – that we would be observant of the culture around us and continue to grow a love for the people and country, that we would continue to learn spanish and have ears for the language
With grateful hearts:
Boys – The boys are doing well. We are amazed and thankful for the way in which they are taking risks as they play with kids as we spend time with people. We have shared with many of you that Lukas has not been wanting to speak spanish but we are seeing a little change in him. He is still shy with adults but is open and desires to have fun with kids.
Growing relationships - While it takes a long time to build trust, we have been encouraged and are so thankful for glimpses of growth and the realization that it will take time and that is ok.
2 Corinthians 4:5-7
You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
