Celebrating Christmas will obviously be different for us this year. While we have spent Christmases away from family this is our first year not celebrating with the change of season and cultural traditions with which we are so familiar.
Both boys had Christmas programs with their classes at school….
We are thankful to have wonderful people here in Costa Rica to celebrate Christmas with….and we are thankful to have visitors! My cousin Erin is visiting us for a week. She has been studying Spanish in Guatemala and has come to visit us on her way home to Canada. David and Kendra are also visiting us from Canada and we have two more friends joining us next week. Here are a few highlights from the last couple of weeks….
This morning, we went to the special Christmas service at our church and the verse that they highlighted was from 1 Timothy 6:16.
al único inmortal,
que vive en luz inaccesible,
a quien nadie ha visto ni puede ver,
a él sea el honor y el poder eternamente. Amén.
Who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
