One of these things is not like the other
Take a good look. Take a really good look. What difference do you see between Murray on the left (Canadian Regional Developer – Caribbean Sun Region), Curtis on the right (Fellow International Worker based in Costa Rica) and myself? And no, I don’t mean the color of my shirt.

Answer: Murray and Curtis are bald – I am not. But that could change. And me becoming like these two men depends on you! Here’s the deal:
We have been given the green light to raise funds to purchase a vehicle once we arrive in Venezuela. This is our fundraising priority now. As I write, we do not have a target set but I suspect we’ll need to raise enough money to purchase an appropriate vehicle (7 passenger SUV likely) for our future ministry there. We will be asking more questions and doing more research but what is important is that we spread the word. Know that this vehicle will not be our vehicle but the C&MA’s vehicle we use for advancing His Kingdom.
And what does this have to do with being bald? I’ve decided, in the air of being creative and putting the ‘fun’ back in ‘fund-raising’ and to get the ball rolling I’ll set a little goal: If we raise $5000 by January 20th, I’ll shave my head! I’ll go bald just like Murray and Curtis. I’ll BIC it and wax it. The full meal deal. Angela won’t like this but perhaps, and I’m not committing to this, but perhaps I’ll stay bald until we have enough money raised to purchase a vehicle outright. For now the goal is simply to raise $5000 by the end of January.
Yeah, I’ll do this for fun, to get the ball rolling, but in all seriousness, we are praying earnestly for God to provide a vehicle for us in Venezuela. In the very least, consider praying with us.

Thanks again for considering us in your giving ministry. And maybe the pictures you see of me after Christmas will be blurry or washed out due to the glare off my shiny bald head. . . .
